Crab Au Gratin
We all loved practical jokes, but getting one over on my Dad was never easy to do. We lived upstairs from the restaurant and Dad would get up early every morning, go downstairs in his pajamas and do paperwork.
The rest of the crew and I decided to surprise him one morning. We all gathered across the street early in the morning with our hair in curlers, no makeup, and wearing PJs. The plan was to barge in on Dad while he sat there in his pajamas.
We quietly gathered, snuck across the street, unlocked the door and barged in to find him at his paperwork...wearing a tuxedo. To this day I don’t know how he caught on to us. And to this day, I don’t think we ever pulled one over on him.
